Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is all set to launch in India on November 22. Xiaomi has shared launch invites that say “The New Note Rises” without giving the name. However, the company’s India MD Manu Kumar Jain confirmed via tweet that the Redmi Note 6 Pro is launching in India on that date.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the successor to the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro and it was recently launched in Thailand. The key features of the new Redmi Note 6 Pro are 6.28-inch Full HD+ notch display with 19:9 aspect ratio and four cameras.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a 6.26-inch FHD+ (2280×1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass notch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the same octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD. The smartphone is running Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI on top.
In terms of camera, it sports dual rear cameras comprising a 12MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, EIS, and a 5MP secondary camera. There is another dual camera set up at the front that has a 20MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera. The cameras support AI features like AI portrait and AI face unlock.
Connectivity options on the dual SIM phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS. It has a 4000mAh battery. It also sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor as well.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro was launched in Thailand at THB 6,990 for the only 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The Redmi Note 6 Pro price in India is also expected to be the same as Thailand price that translates to roughly Rs. 15,300.
