Following a flurry of teasers prior to The Game Awards, Obsidian’s sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds was revealed – and it looks intriguing. Published by Private Division, the open-world shooter is set in a corporate-run colony on the edge of the galaxy called Halcyon, but all is not as it seems. You play as a colonist that stumbles on a conspiracy threatening to destroy the colony, and in true Obsidian style, your actions will dictate the outcome of the game.

While we don’t yet have a specific release date for the upcoming shooter, it has been confirmed that The Outer Worlds is scheduled for release at some point in 2019.
The fact that a specific release is yet to be announced leads us to believe that it’ll be later rather than sooner in 2019, possibly towards the end of the year.
