Accuses the social media giant of defamation, negligence and «shadow banning» conservatives; Twitter has denied that in the past
Washington — Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California, the controversial, arch-conservative former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, is suing Twitter and several of its users for more than $250 million, accusing them of defamation and negligence. The defendants include two anonymous parody accounts, «Devin Nunes’ Mom» and «Devin Nunes’ Cow,» and Liz Mair, a Republican communications consultant who has attacked Nunes on Twitter.
The suit, filed in state court in Henrico County, Virginia, accuses Twitter of «knowingly hosting and monetizing content that is clearly abusive, hateful and defamatory.
