Back during E3 2018, Microsoft announced that they’d acquired five new studios to help with developing Xbox One exclusives. According to an article from Game Rant, it looks like they’re not quite done yet.
According to Game Rant, Microsoft are in the process of acquiring Relic Entertainment. The rumor stems from a half-joking tweet from Klobrille, a known leaker.
The tweet includes a picture of the Xbox Game Studios logo alongside the Relic Entertainment logo.
Look. I start with a cool looking one. pic.twitter.com/MOwRkCmCaI

Of course, as Game Rant point out, just a tweet isn’t sufficient evidence to support this rumor and should be taken with several grains of salt.
However, Klorbrille has proven themselves to be somewhat of a reliable leaker. Klorbrille previously leaked accurate information about Microsoft’s lineup during E3 2016, including the announcement of Age of Empires 4’s development.
Age of Empires 4 is being developed by Relic Entertainment but is an intellectual property of Microsoft, which adds more weight to this rumor.
