Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella told a cheering crowd at Star Wars Celebration that his studio’s next game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will be a straightforward single-player game with no microtransactions.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderis a strictly singleplayer game and it will have no microtransactions, the founder of Respawn Entertainment said yesterday at Star Wars Celebration.
“It’s a single-player story game,” Zampella said as the crowd watching live cheered. “Yeah. No multiplayer, no microtransactions…” he added as the crowd cheered louder. “It’s a story game!” (See timestamp 5:04:29 below.)
Respawn’s traditional approach to Fallen Order seems to belie publisher Electronic Arts’ current priorities for its big games, particularly ones under license, which emphasize software as a service and other living-games qualities.
