The Pokemon Company announces that a new Detective Pikachu game is in development for the Nintendo Switch, but remains quiet regarding further details.
The Pokemon Company certainly has a busy schedule ahead of E3 2019: a Pokemon Sword and Shield direct is planned for June 5, and tonight the company aired a massive Pokemon press conference that has revealed several new Poke-projects. One of the newly announced projects from the The Pokemon Company is a Nintendo Switch-based Detective Pikachu game, which looks like it’ll be a sequel to the 2016 Nintendo DS game of the same name.
The Pokemon Company refrained from saying almost anything else about the new Detective Pikachu game, though President and COO Tsunekazu Ishiharait did confirm that the title will resolve the cliffhanger ending from the first one.
