Vice President Mike Pence joined the chorus of Trump administration officials calling on the Federal Reserve to cut interest rates.
“I think it might be time for us to consider lowering interest rates,” Pence said in an interview with CNBC Friday.
Pence’s remarks came three days after President Trump tweeted that the economy would “go up like a rocket” if the Fed cut interest rates by one point and reinstated its bond-buying program, known as quantitative easing.
