Redmi Note 7S arrives in India today at a price of Rs 10,999. So what about the Redmi Note 7, which sells for Rs 9,999. We don’t if Xiaomi will kill Redmi Note 7 or not but we do how the Note 7S and Note 7 compare and which one is worth buying.
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 7S in India today at a starting price of Rs 10,999. The phone will be available for the first time at Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Mi preferred partners on May 23. As rumoured, the Redmi Note 7S in India is actually the same Redmi Note 7 that sells in China. To recall, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 in India back in February this year alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Unlike in China, the Redmi Note 7 India variant didn’t come with the 48MP camera. Instead, Xiaomi India decided to pack the Redmi Note 7 Pro with the 48MP camera while the Redmi Note 7 came with a 12MP plus 2MP rear camera configuration.
Apparently, this is something that Xiaomi is fixing now with the Note 7S.
The India price of the Redmi Note 7S is Rs 1,000 higher than that of the Redmi Note 7. The Rs 1,000 price increase is mainly because the Redmi Note 7S cameras are likely better than the Redmi Note 7. In India the Redmi Note 7 sells for a starting price of Rs 9,999. This price is for the base model with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage.
