The Samsung Galaxy S10 range has only just been revealed, but Samsung is already apparently working on the next big thing. Not much is known about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 just yet, but we do have a few details — including talk that the phone may offer a huge 6.66-inch display.
Although the Samsung Galaxy S10 range and the Samsung Galaxy Fold have already been revealed this year, Samsung still has a new Note series phone to come, and a picture of what the phone will be like is beginning to form through leaks and rumors. Here’s everything we know about the Galaxy Note 10.
It’s still early days, so not much is known about the Galaxy Note 10’s design. However, it may signal a shift from Samsung’s practice of including a 3.5mm headphone jack and physical buttons. Instead, the Galaxy Note 10 may use capacitive, or pressure-sensitive, buttons with textures to indicate position on the body for power, volume, and Bixby duties. This has been rumored before, and used (with varying levels of success) on phones including the HTC U12 Plus, HTC U11 and the Pixel 2. The removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack would be a surprise, as the port is still retained on the Galaxy S10, and Samsung has often used it as a point of differentiation between it and the competition.
It’s entirely possible the Note 10 will follow the S10 and add a hole-punch selfie camera to the front of the display. But unlike the S10 range, the Note 10 looks to be setting a symmetrical design by placing the camera in the top center of the display. According to a Twitter leak, both the Note 10 and the Note 10 Pro will have a single front-facing camera, eschewing the double setup we saw on the Galaxy S10 Plus. This render is apparently close to how the real thing will look.
Previously, this leak offered a look at the Note 10, complete with a centered selfie camera and a vertically stacked triple-lens camera setup around the back. According to a report from iGeekphone.com, the standard Galaxy Note 10 will feature a massive 6.66-inch display, which would make the phone’s display far larger than the current Galaxy Note 9, and similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro.
