A day after Riverside County health officials canceled the 2020 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival, which had been rescheduled for October, the events’ promoter announced dates for 2021.
Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser signed an order June 10 canceling the popular festivals, citing concerns of another wave of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, in the fall.
“A year without Coachella and Stagecoach is hard for us to comprehend, but we have every intention of returning in 2021,” Goldenvoice said in a statement about the festivals.
For now, the Empire Polo Club in Indio will host Coachella again April 9-11 and April 16-18, 2021. Stagecoach will follow at the venue on April 23-35.
