John Lewis’ public viewing is taking place today and tomorrow. You can watch the lying in state ceremony online here.

Rep. John Lewis is lying in state Monday and Tuesday in Washington, D. C. He was first honored in a private ceremony on the Capitol Rotunda on Monday afternoon. The public viewing will take place on Monday evening and all day on Tuesday. You can watch online in the videos below.
Visitors can attend the public viewing on Monday, July 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern or Tuesday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern. Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance.

There will be a private ceremony preceding the public viewing at the East Front of the Capitol building. The Post’s Libby Casey will anchor live coverage of Lewis’s Capitol viewing. She’ll be joined by reporters Rhonda Colvin, Nicole Ellis, Eugene Scott and filmmaker Dawn Porter. The civil rights leader died on July 17 at the age of 80. Lewis spent his lifetime preaching nonviolence while enduring beatings and jailings during seminal front-line confrontations of the 1960s.
