Michigan State’s athletic department reported no new cases of the coronavirus in Monday’s batch of 41 tests.
However, one Spartan athlete who previously tested positive registered a second positive test. The other 40 came back negative, the school said in a news release.
The athlete — whose sport and gender were not revealed — will remain in isolation with daily check-ins from the MSU athletic training staff.
“Further testing and physician follow-up will be required prior to returning to any level of workouts,” the release said.
