China is second only to the U. S. as home to the world’s most billionaires.
Real estate billionaire Hui Ka Yan has topped the 2020 Forbes China Philanthropy List with cash giving equal to nearly $430 million, according to an annual tally published by Forbes China on Thursday.
The ranking measured cash giving in 2019 and includes donations made by individuals as well as their main business. Hui, who chairs China Evergrande Group, notably donated to funds for poverty relief.
