Supporters of President Trump quickly gathered outside the Massachusetts State House. And Republicans, staring down the loss of the White House after four years of Trump, offered mixed messages as the president vowed to fight on. GOP Missouri U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, a potential 2024 contender, tweeted shortly after the Associated Press and several major media outlets projected that Biden had defeated Trump: “The media do not get to determine who the president is. The people do. When all lawful votes have been counted, recounts finished, and allegations of fraud addressed, we will know who the winner is.
