432 Orange County patients were in ICUs on Dec. 26
The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 5,953 new cases of the coronavirus on Saturday, Dec.26, increasing the cumulative total in the county to 144,263 cases since tracking began. The county did not post an update on Friday, Dec.25. The report showed 1,858 total cases among inmates, as an outbreak in the Orange County jail system continues. The county also reported 1,957 patients in local hospitals with the coronavirus on Saturday. There were 432 patients listed in intensive care units on Saturday. ICU capacity is dwindling in Southern California. The percentages shown here have been adjusted by state public health officials to represent the high levels of COVID-19 patients among all ICU patients.
