On Wednesday, the tech company unveiled its top trending searches for 2020. Overall, «election results» was the top trending search this year, followed by «coronavirus.» Both searches were also the top trending in the News category. Overall, Kobe Bryant was third in trending searches this year. In January, the Los Angeles Lakers legend and daughter Gianna were among passengers who died in a helicopter crash in California. Rounding out the top five were two searches related to the ongoing pandemic: «Coronavirus update» and «coronavirus symptoms.
