The Orange County Health Care Agency reported 3,824 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, Jan.12, increasing the cumulative total in the county to 195,685 cases since tracking began. There were 28 deaths reported by the county on Tuesday, raising the total number of deaths to 2,148. The most recent death recorded was on Jan.4. The county also reported 2,200 patients in local hospitals with the coronavirus on Tuesday. That is an decrease of 21 patients since the last report on Jan.11. There were 535 patients listed in intensive care units on Tuesday, a decrease of nine since Monday. An estimated 39,112 cases of the virus have been recorded in Orange County in the last 14 days. The county update said 2,300,064 tests have been given for the coronavirus since testing began locally, with at least 16,401 new tests since the previous report.
