Some Xbox Series X controllers are failing to stay connected to Xbox One, Xbox Series S, or Xbox Series X consoles or repeatedly attempting to reconnect. Thousands of users appear to be affected, but it’s unclear how widespread the issue is.
Microsoft’s new controller released alongside the Xbox Series X might not be as revolutionary as the DualSense, but it has plenty of features and additions that the previous controller lacked. For example, the new controller has a Share button, a redesigned D-pad, and a USB-C port for charging. Unfortunately, it also has a significant issue, as hundreds of users are complaining about the controller randomly disconnecting from their consoles. As spotted by The Verge, a complaint on Microsoft’s Community forum from November 13th has spawned 40 pages of responses from users who say that their new Xbox Series X controller “keeps connecting and disconnecting on its own” while they use it with their consoles.
