Avengers Campus opens to the public June 4 at Disney California Adventure theme park
The Avengers Campus will open to the public at Disney California Adventure theme park on June 4, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products announced during a “virtual event” Thursday afternoon. The land, announced 2017, will include a ride-through attraction called Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure (featuring actor Tom Holland), Pym Test Kitchen, Schwarma Palace and interactions with Marvel characters such as Thor, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Black Widow, Ant-Man and the Wasp. The existing Guardians of the Galaxy: Breakout ride also is part of the campus. California Adventure and sister park Disneyland are scheduled to reopen April 30. They have been closed since mid-March of 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. D’Amaro’s Thursday presentation included an interview with Kevin Feige, producer of big-screen Marvel movies as well as the “WandaVision” series, which was made for the Disney+ streaming service.
