The Fourth of July in Boston turned violent as police responded to four shootings overnight, including one deadly incident when a man was shot and then run over by a motor vehicle. Boston Police are investigating that fatal shooting in Roxbury, as well as three other shootings that led to injuries considered non-life threatening. The fatal shooting happened at around 3:05 a.m. on Monday when a police officer reportedly saw a shooting in the area of Roxbury’s Seaver Street and Humboldt Avenue. The officer found a man who had been shot and was then struck by a motor vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests had been made as of Monday afternoon.
