Apple on Monday announced that preorders for the Apple Watch Series 7 will begin at 8 a.m. ET on Friday, October 8, and begin shipping on Friday, October 15. The Apple Watch Series 7 was announced at Apple’s California Streaming event alongside the iPhone 13, iPad mini, and ninth-gen iPad. While those products all began shipping on September 24, Apple opted to delay the Series 7 Watch for unknown reasons. Rumors suggest that supply and manufacturing constraints were behind the delay and will likely affect availability for early adopters. The Apple Watch Series 7 is a minor update to the Series 6, bringing a larger display (41mm and 45mm vs 40mm and 44mm) and faster charging. The display borders have been trimmed to 1.
