It looks like the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con drift issues may remain. The company’s engineers note that wear within the controllers is natural. However, the company notes that they have improved the Joy-Cons since the initial launch of the console.
Joy-Con drift has been a very persistent problem for Nintendo Switch users. So much so that the company has been at the center of a number of lawsuits. On it’s part, Nintendo has been pretty quiet about the issue. With the launch of the Nintendo Switch OLED, questions regarding Joy-Con drift have popped up once again. In a post on the official Nintendo website, Ko Shiota, Head of Nintendo’s Technology Division and Toru Yamashita of the Technology Development Department answer some questions regarding the development of the new Nintendo Switch OLED. In one of the answers, both of them suggest that the Joy-Con drift issue won’t be going away anytime soon.
