The National School Boards Association recently sent a six-page letter to President Biden asking for “federal law enforcement and other assistance” to protect school board members and other education officials in public settings. “Acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes,” advised the letter, which can be found at NSBA.org. “There must be safeguards to be in place to protect public schools and dedicated education leaders as they do their jobs,” the organization said.
