AWS has trumped its cloud rivals in offering its users the ability to create IPv6-only networks.
Amazon Web Services ( AWS) has announced that its customers can now create IPv6-only virtual private cloud (VPC) networks. “This capability is ideal if you have workloads, such as serverless and container applications, that consume a large number of IP addresses,” note AWS’ Rohit Aswani and Aditya Santhanam, hailing the announcement as monumental. The duo add that this new capability is ideal for IP address-hungry workloads, such as serverless and container applications.
