The telco saw operating income increase 11.7% thanks to sustained growth across all its businesses during the quarter.
SK Telecom said on Wednesday it recorded just shy of 5 trillion won in revenue and 400 billion won in operating income during the third quarter, an increase of 5% and 11.7%, respectively, from a year ago. The telco said it saw sustained growth across all its businesses. Its mobile network business saw revenue increase almost 3% year-on-year to approximately 3 trillion won. At the same time, operating income rose 22% year-on-year to 320 billion won. SK Telecom said it added 950,000 new 5G subscribers during the quarter, bringing its total to 8.
