To help you find the right machine and save you some money, we’ve smoked out the best gaming PC deals available online right now.
If you’ve been thinking about building a PC, you’ve probably noticed that the chip shortage has left the well of GPU deals somewhat dry. But don’t give up just yet: You don’t need to buy the components separately to get a cost-effective gaming machine that can run the latest AAA titles and slice through heavy workloads. Available PC parts are pretty much all going to brand-name computer manufacturers right now, so while building your own desktop tower might be off the table today (and likely for the next few months at least), you can still score some pretty solid gaming PC deals if you know where to look — and you’ve found the right place. We’ve combed the entire web to bring you a hand-picked selection of the best cheap gaming PCs out there this week. If you just need a solid gaming PC and aren’t married to a desktop, though, then consider checking out some of these gaming laptop deals as well. Why buy If your needs are modest and you still want a dedicated graphics card perhaps for tasks like video editing along with gaming, this gaming desktop is a cost-effective and very attractive option. This tower features an Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti graphics card, which, while one of Nvidia’s mid-range 16-series graphics cards, is nonetheless one of the best discrete GPUs on the market right now for the money. That dedicated graphics card works with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X CPU and 8GB of DDR4 RAM to deliver sufficient performance for work and less resource-heavy games like Fornite and Minecraft, although newer releases like Halo Infinite aren’t out of the question. For storage, you’ve got a snappy 256GB solid-state drive, which is a decent amount of space for some games and other digital goodies. Its great-looking case design features green LED accents and allows you to upgrade components in the future, as well. While this is far from the beefiest tower on our list, the Asus ROG Strix GL10 gaming desktop still has very respectable specs and plenty of graphical juice to handle gaming. The GeForce GTX 16-series cards aren’t quite as muscular as the newer RTX 30 series, but this one will get the job done while also making this a good budget workstation for things like video editing and graphic design. You even get a wired mouse and keyboard right out of the box. Why buy HP builds some surprisingly fantastic gaming computers for what is a more business-focused brand, and this enhanced Pavilion gaming desktop doesn’t disappoint if you want a serious GPU upgrade over our first selection — or if you’re just more of an AMD fan (hey, so are we). It packs a Ryzen 7 5700G CPU, based on AMD’s newer Zen 3 chip architecture, along with a Radeon RX 6600XT GPU. The Radeon RX 6600XT GPU has 8GB of VRAM and compares favorably to Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, except AMD’s offering is arguably the better value of the two. Paired with that Ryzen 7 CPU, this is a superb graphics card/processor combo for 1440p or 4K gaming in 2022. That’s all backed up with 16GB of 3,200MHz RAM for smooth multi-tasking. It comes with 512GB of high-speed solid-state storage as well, which is a good amount of space for installing your favorite games and a few extras. The HP Pavilion tower’s case looks striking on your desk and has stylish green LED accents along with case fans to keep things running cool, and it looks nice if loud-colored RGB LEDs aren’t your thing.
