Google Maps will get ‘Immersive Mode’, a new way to explore and discover places using real-life scenes created using billions of Street View and aerial images, and could work for indoor locations too.

At Google I/O, the search giant announced new ways the latest advancements in AI are transforming Google Maps. The most prominent addition to the navigation platform is the “Immersive Mode”. Immersive Mode is the latest attempt by Google to use the billions of Street View and aerial images to extract more useful ways of navigation and exploration.
