Disney’s plans for both its Marvel and Star Wars shows have always seemed pretty weird. They are not traditional, as in you would assume any successful show is going to get a season 2, as it really depends on the overall direction of the universe at hand. This has been all over the place with Marvel, where some shows transition into movies (WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier), some get second seasons (Loki, What If…?) and some are left in limbo indefinitely (Hawkeye, Moon Knight). The same may be true for the upcoming slate of Star Wars shows. While The Mandalorian seems like it will be on a while, The Book of Boba Fett seems unlikely to return. And now, Obi-Wan Kenobi, which debuts this Friday and was pitched as a one-off miniseries, may again grow beyond its initial scope.
