Instagram restricted rapper and fashion designer Kanye West’s Instagram account after West was accused of posting anti-semitic content.
The social media company also deleted content from the billionaire’s profile, NBC News reported. A spokesperson for Meta, Instagram’s parent company, confirmed the company’s decision to Variety and said the temporary restriction is standard for accounts that violate guidelines multiple times.
Meta did not specify which post violated its rules, but West was accused of sharing anti-semitic content Friday in a now-deleted post. West’s post reportedly showed a text conversation with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, captioning the post “Jesus is Jew.
