Trump will be deposed on October 19, five days after Carroll, who accuses the former president of raping her in the 1990’s is scheduled for deposition.
A federal judge on Wednesday rejected former President Donald Trump’s bid to delay his deposition in a defamation lawsuit brought by author E. Jean Carroll, who alleges he raped her in a department store changing room in the 1990’s and denied it, setting up Trump’s pre-trial deposition next week.
Carroll is also expected to file a lawsuit under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which takes effect on Nov. 24, and allows claims for alleged rape to be revived, regardless of a statute of limitations, which in this case has expired.
