A police officer was killed in a knife attack on Thursday in the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek close to Brussels North railway station at around 7:30 p.m. local time. The attack targeted a police patrol. Another officer was wounded.It was said the attacker shouted “Allahu akbar,” the Arabic phrase for “God is great,” during the attack.The attacker was shot in the legs and abdomen as to control the person.
