Tumblr is poking fun at Twitter’s plan to charge users for the verified blue checkmark by selling access to not one, but two checkmarks, which can be slapped on to your account.
“They’re a steal at $7.99—that’s cheaper than some other places,” Tumblr wrote in a post on Thursday.
“Why, you ask? Why not? Nothing matters! ¯\(ツ)/¯,” the microblogging site added.
The joke arrives a day after Twitter began rolling out its own $8 per month subscription plan to sell access to the verified blue checkmark.
