A new bug has now been confirmed in the update
The rollout of Windows 11 2022 Update, also known as version 22H2, is currently underway, with Microsoft sticking with its phased process because of obvious reasons.
Such an approach gives Microsoft enough time to take action whenever it discovers a new glitch in the update. If this happens, the company can automatically block the update for the potentially impacted devices, therefore limiting the damage that a glitch could eventually cause.
This is precisely what’s happening right now.
As it turns out, some of the apps and games running on Windows 11 2022 Update end up experiencing various performance issues, such as stuttering and other unexpected slowdowns. Needless to say, this isn’t necessarily the experience you’d normally expect from the latest and greatest version of Windows 11, so it’s pretty clear something that should be happening is, well, happening.
The Redmond-based software giant has recently confirmed the glitch, explaining that both apps and games are affected by this problem.
Worth knowing, however, is that not everybody is affected, and what’s more, not all apps and games are hitting the same bugs. In other words, you could very well run Windows 11 2022 Update without encountering any performance problems.
