Apple is talking about shifting a portion of iPad production from China to India as reported by CNBC, citing sources close to the Indian government. The discussion with officials is currently ongoing, and no concrete plans have been finalised yet. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Apple already produces some iPhone models in India, including the newest iPhone 14 and numerous previous models that are still available. Earlier reports even suggested Apple was considering moving the production of AirPods and Beats headphones to India as well.
