Much like its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom is launching to glowing praise from critics, garnering a 98 overall rating on Open Critic and a 97 overall rating on Metacritic. If the current scores hold in place, then Tears of the Kingdom will have matched Breath of the Wild’s Metacritic score and over on Open Critic, it would be the highest-rated game of all time, tied with Super Mario Odyssey.
