World of Warcraft’s new Evoker class might have a third specialization in its future that could even give priests a run for their money.
World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, has embraced all things draconic in both story and gameplay. The new race-class combination found in the Dracthyr Evoker is one that players have found both engaging and satisfying, as they are currently among the most effective healers and damage dealers in World of Warcraft right now. Despite this, the Evoker only has two specializations as opposed to the usual three, leaving many to wonder if a third one is on its way.
The only other class in the game with just two specializations is Demon Hunter, another Hero Class that arrived in World of Warcraft: Legion. This class never received a third specialization, but players are skeptical that they’ve already seen everything the Evoker has to offer. The most popular theory involves this mysterious possible third spec being another healing role. If this happened, the Evoker would encroach on some exclusive territory, clashing with World of Warcraft’s most iconic healing class, the Priest.

Priests are the only class in World of Warcraft with two healing specializations, each of them unique in terms of both utility and flavor. Holy priests are kings of Area of Effect and burst healing, able to spend a lot of mana in a short time to pump out a tidal wave of health.
