The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has warned citizens over sharing of any document through email or WhatsApp while updating Aadhaar. UIDAI has suggested users either to update it through the “myAadhaar portal” or visit the Aadhaar centres. Users can log in to the platform with their Aadhaar numbers, receive OTP on their phone and upload scanned copies of documents for verification. Along with this, UIDAI has cautioned users to keep their Aadhaar OTP or mAadhaar Pin private.
Aadhaar is one of the most important identity documents for citizens in India.
