Those who keep up with The Drew Barrymore Show know how much Drew Barrymore loves a good interior makeover — ahem, “Designed By Drew” is even an occasional segment that features the beloved host renovating the homes of lucky fans. Therefore, it may not come as a shock that she was considering her own interior design show prior to landing the Emmy-nominated series.
In a recent interview with Better Homes & Gardens, Barrymore, who rose to fame as a child actress, revealed that she once thought of making a major career shift.
“There was a long period of time when I thought I could go into interior design and that would make me happy,” she told the outlet. “I could do all my thrifting and shopping; I could make things unique—I won’t ever be cookie-cutter.”
Barrymore continued, “I thought I could even do a show around it.
