Today’s Radeon Software Adrenalin 23.9.1 driver adds two major components to the suite which include the highly anticipated HYPR-RX feature and support for Anti-Lag+. Both technologies are supported by all RDNA 3 GPUs while also delivering day-1 support for the latest GPU releases, the Radeon RX 7800 XT and the Radeon RX 7700 XT.
We took a deep dive into the AMD HYPR-RX technology here which is a driver-level switch that can enable Radeon Boost, Radeon Anti-Lag+, and Radeon Super Resolution for boosted performance when needed. The technology can also be enabled across all DX12/DX11 titles through the driver switch but that update is planned for an early 2024 launch. As of right now, Anti-Lag+ supports all RDNA 3 GPUs with the standard Anti-Lag tech supporting RDNA 2 and below GPUs.
