Fortnite breaks another one of its records following the massive success of its Chapter 4: Season OG update, which saw the game return to its roots.
Fortnite broke another one of its records this week, after pulling in massive amounts of players during the month of November. This recent resurgence in Fortnite’s popularity is largely due to its Chapter 4: Season OG update.
Fortnite’s Season OG, which was released on November 3, brought back many features from the game’s initial peak of popularity in 2018. This update was a massive success, bringing in a record amount of players to Fortnite’s Save the World mode in addition to catapulting its battle royale mode back to the top. A plethora of features from the «OG» era of Fortnite have returned, including weapons, items, and the game’s original map. The update has been a huge hit with old and new fans alike, leading Fortnite to reach even higher levels of popularity.
Fortnite’s Twitter account announced that the game surpassed 100 million players over the span of November, breaking its own record.
