Early Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 to extend its March 19 block against Senate Bill 4, reports NBC News. «For nearly 150 years, the Supreme Court has held that the power to control immigration—the entry, admission, and removal of noncitizens—is exclusively a federal power,» not a state one, Chief Judge Priscilla Richman wrote for the majority in the appeals court’s ruling.
