Bill Maher was brutally honest during Friday’s episode of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. Maher acknowledged that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, «wasn’t wrong» as he battled woke activism.
Maher used his «New Rules» segment to rail against Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries. It was refreshing to hear a left-coast elite take wokeism to task, especially as it pertains to the treatment of children. The docuseries is truly disturbing. I watched most of it after reading all the buzz about it and, to be honest, I couldn’t finish the series. The topic is pedophilia in Hollywood, in particular on the sets of Nickelodeon shows.
The stories and video clips used to prove accusations were stomach-turning, to say the least. Maher weighed in and he was correct in his response.
“As one of the few people in the public eye who’s gone through life and never had kids, someone’s got to tell me why I’m always having to defend them,” the host said. “I don’t even like them, but I do think it’s every adult’s job to protect them.”
“Nickelodeon? It wasn’t a studio, it was Neverland Ranch with craft services,” he shared of his portrayal of the Network after watching the series.
