Motorola’s Moto Tag item tracker is certified by the FCC with support for both Bluetooth LE and UWB connectivity.
A little over a week ago we told you that Motorola was working on an item tracker called the Moto Tag that was spotted on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) Certification website. Today, per Android Authority, documentation for the Moto Tag was discovered showing that the item tracker was certified by the FCC. The certification noted that the Moto Tag will feature both Bluetooth LE and Ultra Wideband (UWB) connectivity.
The FCC filing also revealed the device’s model number (XT2445-1); it also indicated that the Moto Tag will be powered by a standard CR2032 button watch battery which means that finding a replacement cell won’t be a difficult chore.
