Here’s our detailed comparison between Samsung’s latest Galaxy F55 and Moto Edge 50 Fusion.
Samsung recently released its much-awaited Galaxy F55 smartphone in the Indian market. It packs a suite of features like an sAMOLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 45W fast charging, and a lot more starting at Rs 26,999. However, smartphones are sitting in the Indian smartphone jungle and are ready to give some tough competition to Samsung’s latest offering. One such device is the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. We have been using both these smartphones for quite some time now, and if you are confused between the two, MySmartPrice is at your rescue.Samsung Galaxy F55 vs Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: Price in IndiaSamsung Galaxy F55 vs Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: Design
2024 has suddenly become a year of vegan leather. People are finding the vegan leather back finish more appealing, and as a result, smartphone makers have started delivering it. We have already seen several smartphones with a vegan leather finish this year, and now Samsung has also joined the bandwagon. It’s clear that with the Galaxy F55, Samsung has focused a lot on its looks.
Unlike Samsung’s usual subtle colour approach, this time, the company has opted for a bold choice with the Apricot Crush shade– which is a fancy term for the orange option. However, given the overall design approach, we have to admit that the Galaxy F55 looks premium.

Motorola is also not lagging when it comes to the device’s aesthetics. It boasts a head-turning design, thanks to its unique Pantone colour options. The phone’s beauty goes beyond its colour, though, with a curved display that blends seamlessly into the edges, a uniform bezel design, and a smooth back panel that feels great in hand (although it is a fingerprint magnet). Even the clicky buttons and sturdy plastic frame add to the phone’s premium feel.
Samsung Galaxy F55 vs Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: Display
When it comes to the display, both smartphones flaunt a 6.7-inch FHD+ display. While Samsung’s panel is sAMOLED, Motorola uses pOLED. Both panels look identical but the key difference lies in the refresh rate and peak brightness. The Galaxy F55 supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness, whereas the Edge 50 Fusion supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits of peak brightness.

Despite these differences, Samsung delivers a satisfactory display experience. The Galaxy F55’s AMOLED panel shows accurate and punchy colours, ensuring an enjoyable viewing experience while watching content on YouTube, Netflix, etc. Even under the bright sun, the display is perfectly legible, and you can easily read or watch content on apps like WhatsApp and Facebook.
Moto Edge 50 Fusion
Unfortunately, that’s not the case with the Edge 50 Fusion. While it offers a smoother 144Hz refresh rate that creates incredibly fluid animations, its colour accuracy isn’t perfect. The default “vivid” mode can oversaturate content, and HDR support is missing from popular streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix.
