Get ready to see a lot more of President Biden on television.
Joe Biden’s campaign released its first ad targeting Donald Trump and his felony convictions over the weekend, as part of a new $50 million nationwide ad blitz.
The video, called «Character Matters», goes straight for the former president and his 34 felonies in his New York hush money trial.
«This election is between a convicted criminal, who’s only out for himself, and a President who’s fighting for your family», the narrated 30-second spot says.
The ad is part of a wider push by the Biden-Harris campaign to directly target Trump with around five months to go before election day.
It marks a change for the campaign, which has largely avoided talking about Trump’s legal woes.
«In the courtroom, we see Donald Trump for who he is», the new ad says, showing a photo of Trump in the Manhattan courthouse.
