A Biden campaign ad featuring a solo appearance from Kamala Harris has sparked speculation from Donald Trump’s base.
Online speculation from supporters of former President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) campaign that President Joe Biden will be replaced with Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential pick has one major flaw.
After Biden’s dismal debate performance against Trump in Atlanta last week, there have been calls for Biden to stop running for reelection and for another Democrat to take his place before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in late August. There have been several names floated for Biden’s potential replacement, including Harris. However, the Biden campaign has made it clear that the president will not drop out of the race.
Charlie Kirk, founder of the conservative group Turning Point USA and a Trump supporter, shared a screenshot of a campaign ad showing Harris on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday. He wrote alongside the photo: «The DNC (Democratic National Committe) is now running ads with JUST Kamala Harris asking for money. This is new and an obvious pivot.»
Another Trump supporter, Gunther Eagleman, wrote: «They are making clear as day, it will be Kamala.
