Stallion, an American rapper, joins a growing list of celebrities who have rallied behind the vice president in her first week running for president.
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is scheduled to perform at Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in Atlanta on Tuesday, joining a growing list of celebrities rallying behind the presumptive Democratic nominee, according to a report confirmed to Newsweek by a Harris campaign official.
Kevin Munoz, also of Harris’ campaign, earlier said on social media that Megan Thee Stallion, whose legal name is Megan Pete, will join Harris at the vice president’s first event in Georgia since launching her bid for president. Billboard was the first to report about Stallion giving a «special performance» at the rally.
Democrats have quickly rallied behind the vice president after President Joe Biden announced that he was dropping out of the 2024 race a little over a week ago. Harris has also earned endorsements from several pop-culture stars, including British artist Charli XCX, whose latest album Brat has become a branding tool for the vice president’s campaign.
