Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have canceled the open beta for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The companies revealed that proceeding with the beta as initially planned would divert crucial resources from the game’s final development stages, leading up to its delayed release in September.
“Space Marine 2 is nearing completion,” they stated. “We are now entirely focused on optimization, polishing, and resolving any remaining issues before the launch on September 9. Running a public online beta at this stage would detract from these efforts, and our primary goal is to ensure the highest quality experience at launch.
