Coldplay will perform several concerts in Vienna, Austria, just weeks after Taylor Swift was supposed to play there.
Chris Martin’s sweet gesture to Taylor Swift is being praised by her fans, the Swifties.
Coldplay will be performing several sold-out shows in Vienna, Austria, this week at Ernst Happel Stadium, where Swift was set to take the stage earlier this month. Frontman Chris Martin and singer Maggie Rogers dedicated her song «Love Story» to those who were supposed to attend her concerts.
In a video posted to X, formerly Twitter, by user @neilenore, Martin said: «If this is not good, please please don’t put it on YouTube because I don’t want to get in trouble with Taylor, okay?»
Martin added: «And uh, if you can sing with us, that would be wonderful, and this is a wonderful song.»
At the time of publication, the clip racked up more than 883,000 views and over 21,000 likes.
In the comments, Swift’s fans praised the band’s move.
