Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s 6th Gym will have you up against Byron in the Canalave City. Byron plays with Steel-type Pokemon with high defensive stats. You will face him and then defeat him twice in the game.

You will find Byron in Canalave City in Pokemon BDSP. Initially, the area will not be available for fast travel, so you must get there by Jubilife City. Once you get to the gym, go to the east corner and use the elevator to go up.

Before getting to Byron, you will have to solve the elevator puzzle. This puzzle requires you to reach different parts of the gym, defeating trainers on the way to proceed ahead. Start by taking the fourth platform on your north when you enter.
Once you’re up, use the platform on your south and go down.
Now, use the platform on your west to again get to the upper floor.
This path is pretty simple: use the consecutive platforms that come your way to the third floor. However, to reach the third floor, you need to use the platform on your west.
After crossing the previous platform, you must use the second platform to head east.
Again, move east by using the platform in front of you.
After crossing the area, head south through the narrow pathway and use the platform in front.
